Congratulations to our winning riders from this past season.
Emma Falzon and her hunter horse "Lyric" worked exceptionally hard this year and it paid off! They ended up in a well deserved 4th place in the Hack Division for the entire year against some very stiff competition! We look forward to seeing Emma and Lyric in the Hacks and O/F in 2007! Jessica Baker and her leased hunter pony "Beaverwoods Starling" finished off
a fantastic season wherein she finished up 1st in the Short Stirrup Division for the year! "Starling" is being retired this year and will have a baby in the spring back at Beaverwood Farms. We look forward to seeing Jessica next year in the very tough Medium Pony Division with a new pony! Lucy Gilbert finished her first year of riding with a bang! Competing in 3 large Trillium Shows this year with various mounts including NeQ's own "Rozie" she has proven herself to be a wonderful and committed competitor. She was also a nominee for the 2006 Junior Sportsmanship Award! We look forward to seeing her next year with a new leased pony in the very competitive Short Stirrup Division. Other riders that have joined our winning show team for 2007 are: Vicki Earle with her dressage mount Dawlish (currently for sale) and her new hunter horse "Katarina"!; Meaghan Moroz and her hunter mount "Elliot"; Amy West and her dressage mount "Duckie"; Brenda Sturm and her NeQ dressage mount "Faith"
Show season will soon be upon us. If you are thinking that you might want to compete, now is the time to reserve your show mount. Northequest is one of the only barns around where you are able to custom create your equine lease and show season. Leases start at $2500 for the season on experience beautiful and winning horses and ponies. Time commitments start at 2day/week + 1 lesson.
It started with a few simple thoughts: Can we build a full service equestrian facility that attracts innovative forward thinking equestrians? Can we teach and inspire interested beginner and up-and-coming equestrian talent? Can we produce quality show horses and riders for this competitive industry? Northequest (pronounced Nôrth'kwest) opened its doors in March of 2002 and is quickly building into a unique boarding and training facility, offering an impressive riding instruction program from beginners to competitive riders, with services that are competitive with the best the industry has to offer.
Our belief is that each boarder, rider, and horse carries value and must be treated with the utmost respect, in a clean, friendly -- and above all -- safe environment. We ensure that every service fits into the client's overall ease of use and the horses comfort and safety.
